Over 200 Best Buddies participants attended the Best Buddies Indiana Night with the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday, January 29. The participants, along with their families and friends, from various high schools and colleges throughout central Indiana enjoyed discounted tickets and a once in a lifetime experience, as the Indiana Pacers took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
At the second annual Best Buddies Indiana Night with the Indiana Pacers, the participants had the amazing opportunity to see the Best Buddies name in lights on the scoreboard prior to tip-off. Several chapters, including Pike High School, were also invited at halftime to participate in welcoming both teams back on the court to kick-off the second half of the game. Joanna McCallister, Special Education Advisor for Pike High School stated, “The students had a wonderful time at the game. Seeing the smiles on their faces was priceless.”
At the final buzzer, all participants were invited to a question and answer session with Pacers’ player, Brandon Rush. The students were thrilled to ask great questions and even had the opportunity to receive autographs from Rush, at the conclusion of the session. Best Buddies Indiana would like to thank the Indiana Pacers for their ongoing support. |
